2022 has marked our busiest and most pride-filled year to date as a charity.

We felt honoured and thrilled to be able to host our very first pride celebration here at the Pocklington Arts Centre! The event was the first of it’s kind within the history of The Wolds area. On Saturday 25th September we welcomed over 350 people through the doors, many of whom experienced pride or an LGBTQIA+ event for the first time. During the event we welcomed fellow prides, community stands, local vendors and businesses, Autistic Pride at Pride, workshop and activities facilitators, panellists, our British Sign Language interpreter, a line of phenomenal talent and artists on our main stage, and our fabulous host Andy Train! A huge thank you to all that attended and to the wonderful staff at Pocklington Arts Centre for their support throughout.

This year we also stood united in proud solidarity with over 350 people as co-organisers for the Yorkshire Against Conversion Therapy protest, where we heard from over 15 speakers, and were joined by fellow LGBTQIA+ organisations from throughout Yorkshire.

Additionally, we hosted two interactive and educational workshop sessions with our friends at Young People Count (YPC, Pocklington) for the young people that attend, supported our fellow prides from throughout Yorkshire by attending and volunteering at their events, and hosted three themed social mixer events throughout the year at The Hide, and Pocklington Arts Centre.

We wrapped up 2022 with our first free holiday social event, the Wolds Pride Winter Bash, where we welcomed our community for an evening of festive fun, socialising, free Winter refreshments, and a Christmas themed quiz!
