Wolds Pride 2023 was a monumental success, marked by an incredible turnout of over 800+ attendees, showcasing an overwhelming display of love, support, and positivity from our cherished local community. Taking over Pocklington Arts Centre and Market Place for the first time, our second annual pride celebration was larger and more magnificent than ever before.
This incredible feat wouldn't have been achievable without the unwavering support, dedication, and enthusiasm from our supporters, collaborators, and partners from day one. Heartfelt gratitude goes out to our trustees, volunteers, artists, performers, hosts, Autistic Pride at Pride, panellists, workshop facilitators, British Sign Language interpreters, community stands, food vendors, pride market vendors, technicians, first-aiders, DJs, makeup artists, local business collaborators, face painters, stilt walkers, security, photographers, emergency services, front-of-house staff, the Chairman of East Riding Council, and every individual who contributed to making this day an extraordinary success.
A special thank you goes out to our incredible community whose presence made the day a celebration of LGBTQIA+ joy, affirmation, and a safe space for exploration, learning, self-expression, and flourishing.
As we look forward, we raise our flags to the promising years ahead! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
